Meet MY DAUGHTER’S DRESS BOUTIQUE

My Daughter’s Dress was launched Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 but all started in October 2017 when I started collecting dresses as donations. I was thinking to myself and talking with my husband about how ridiculously expensive formal dresses are. We have five children and of the five, four of them are girls. I thought how cool would it be if girls and women could get special occasion dresses without the huge price tag. I mean come on, realistically we only use them one time right? My heart was broken when one of my teenage daughter’s friends could not attend homecoming because her parents did not have money to purchase her a dress. This just was not right and didn’t sit well with me. In my eyes why does it matter how expensive the dress is that you are wearing. That’s when I took to a local moms group on Facebook and asked if anyone would be interested if I started a page to donate and find free formal dresses and the likes and comments went crazy! I had my answer! We need this! There is nothing like this in our area. So I created the Facebook page My Daughter’s Dress and here we are over 3 years later with our own boutique all while having moved 3 locations already due to our growth, providing very low cost formal dresses, shoes and accessories to girls, women and young men in the community of Yorkville and all surrounding communities including some surrounding Midwest states to Illinois! We continue to work with other local organizations to make sure no one goes without a dress shoes and accessories for their special occasions. Some of the organizations and projects we work closely with and/or are affiliated with are Bike Bald Group, Mutual Ground, A Night To Shine, Hesed House, 3:11 Project, Kara and Kaylee’s Kloset, Rich Ended, Hearts with Compassion, CHIP IN Batavia, and Go With The flow. We also have some amazing store sponsors such as Macy’s, Brizan Couture, Martellen’s Bridal Boutique,  and Ask Boutique.
